The 11th INTERNATIONAL POLICE DIVER SYMPOSIUM (Sept 2005) will continue in the tradition of offering a variety of seminars, demonstrations, exhibits and exercises for the benefit of the many delegates who are expected to register representing some of the world’s leading underwater search units.

Divers from Australia, Bermuda, Canada, England, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, South Africa, Sweden, and the United States of America have participated in ten symposiums – and the list is continually growing.

The IPDS has steadily grown to become a major internationally acclaimed event within the search and recovery diving community due to the quality of speakers who have agreed to participate in these unique learning experiences.

A new venue for this truly international event will be the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel, located in the heart of the Clifton Hill tourist area of Niagara Falls, Ontario.  It will provide an opportunity to experience the casinos, museums and many other area attractions, within walking distance of the hotel.

The latest products for use by underwater investigators or recovery specialists will be on display.  This will provide the opportunity to personally experience this equipment. The Upper Niagara River will offer delegates the chance to experience a swift water environment during the demonstrations.

Registrations are restricted to members of law enforcement, firefighters, military and medical personnel and commercial agencies involved in providing equipment or services for underwater operations.  The registration fees will provide access to all seminars, exhibits, demonstrations and socials including two lunches, a “Decompression Stop” and a Gala Appreciation Dinner at the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel.

Uniforms ( no sidearms) or business attire are requested to be worn to the dinner. The keynote speaker will be confirmed later.

Participants are requested to provide a crest insignia from their organization to be added to the symposium banner.
